Using Windows Vista Automatic Updating

Microsoft always provides updates for Windows operating system in order to make sure that Windows runs smooth, free from problem. You can set so that Windows automatically updates itself or you can install Windows updates manually.

To turn Windows Vista automatic updating on or off:

- Run Windows Update. (Click StartAll Programs > Windows Update. Or click Start > Control PanelSystem and Maintenance > Windows Update).

- On the left pane, click Change settings.

- To turn on the automatic update, click Install updates automatically (recommended). And then select the time when Windows will performs automatic update. Then
under Recommended updates section, select the Include recommended updates when downloading, installing, or notifying me about updates check box.

- To turn off the automatic update, click Never check for updates (not recommended).

- Click OK button.




To update your Windows Vista manually:

- Connect your computer to the internet.

- Run Windows Update. (Click StartAll Programs > Windows Update. Or click Start > Control PanelSystem and Maintenance > Windows Update).

- Click Check for updates button. Then just follow the instructions until the process is complete.
