Microsoft always increase the quality of every new Windows Operating System including Windows Vista. Many things in previous version of Windows that are fixed and also many things new. They are as follows:
1. Windows Vista Editions
Vista comes with more number of editions. Namely Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, Enterprise, and Ultimate. With various version available, it enable Windows users to choose which one meets their need.
2. Windows Explorer Appearance
Microsoft has re-design appearance of Windows Explorer so that it looks different enough than in previous Windows (XP). One of the differences is located on searching facility, which on every opened folder, the search box appears in the upper right corner, that make possible to search files within that folder.
3. Windows Vista Security
The most visible change shown in security of Vista is the implementation of User Access Control (UAC). This feature requires user to get permission from local administrator if one or more programs are going to alter the protected system settings. Another new features are adding to Windows Defender which protects your computer from spyware, and many other security features.
4. Internet Explorer 7
New features in IE7 among other things the use of tab that enables to open more than one web page in a browser window. Moreover, web feed facility offers content of a website that is updated periodically. In security things, the adding of phising filter can protect us from theft of personal and financial information. Other feature is No Add-ons Mode that is useful to run Internet Explorer without toolbar, Active-X control, and other add-ons which be able to slow your computer.
5. Image Processing
Pictures folder and Windows Photo Gallery simplify in displaying, editing, sharing, even printing digital images. When connecting digital camera to computer, you can automatically transfer photos from camera to Pictures folder. There, we can do any editing process towards the photos such as cropping, red eye removing, and so on.
6. Parental Control
With this feature, parents can easily supervise computer used by children. Parents can set the time period of the computer, or even what certain hours the children may use the computer. Moreover, parents can also limit which websites can be accessed while exploring internet. Likewise with games, parental control can be used to monitor and restrict which games are decent to their children.
7. Windows Easy Transfer
This feature is beneficial to transfer files and folders, application settings, internet settings, email messages, numbers and addresses of contacts, and so on, from other computers.
And still there are many other new features inside Windows Vista.
