Learn Vista - Monitoring Computer Activity Using Parental Control

By using Parental Controls, you can monitor all computer activities of your child, such as websites your child visits, applications or games he/she opens, and so on. In this tutorial, we will learn about how to turn on Parental Controls Activity Reports, and how to view the reports.

To Turn On the Parental Controls Activity Reports:

- Open Parental Controls for your child's account. (Click Start menu, then click Control Panel, then click Set up parental controls for any user, then click your child's account.



- Under Parental Controls, click On, enforce current settings to turn on Parental Controls.

- Under Activity Reporting, click On, collect information about computer usage to turn on Activity reports.

- Click OK button.





To View the Activity Reports:

- In Parental Controls window, click View activity reports.

- In the report window, explore the left pane which contains all report items. While the right pane displays the detail.
