Learn Vista - Turning The Guest Account On or Off

A guest account is an account for users who don't have a permanent account on your computer. So if you want to let someone log on to your computer but you don't want them to have access to all of your files, you can turn on the guest account. By default, the guest account is turned off.

Steps to turn on the guest account:

- Open Control Panel. (Click Start menu, and then click Control Panel).

- On Control Panel window, in the User Accounts And Family Safety section, click Add Or Remove User Accounts.

- Click the Guest account from the user account list. Then click Turn On button.




Steps to turn off the guest account:

- Open Control Panel. (Click Start menu, and then click Control Panel).

- On Control Panel window, in the User Accounts And Family Safety section, click Add Or Remove User Accounts.

- Click the Guest account from the user account list. Then click Turn off the guest account link.
