Changing Folder Icon and Folder Picture

This is one of interesting Interface feature in Windows XP, you can modify icon and/or picture of a folder. You can see the result while exploring files/folders in Windows Explorer.

To change Folder Icon and Folder Picture:

- Open Windows Explorer (Press WINDOWS key + E ).

- In Windows Explorer, browse to a folder that you wish to modify, right-click that folder, and then click Properties.

- In the Properties dialog box, click Customize tab.

- If you want to change the folder picture, click the Choose Picture button, and then locate and select the picture/image file which you want to set as folder picture. If you want to restore it to default picture, simply click the Restore Default button.

- If you wish to change the folder icon, click the Change Icon button, and then choose an icon from the icon list that you like to use as folder icon.

- Click OK button.

Now, your folder icon will have a different look, like in this picture:
