Actually Windows Vista creates a restore point automatically just before the significant system events happen, such as the installation of a software or device driver. But, if you want, you can create it manually.
To create a restore point manually:
- Open System Restore. (Click Start menu > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore).
- On System Restore window, click open System Protection.
- On System Properties window, click Create button. Then type the description to help you remember the restore point you create, and then click Create button.
