Changing Desktop Background (Wallpaper) On Windows Vista

Desktop background (wallpaper) is the picture which is shown on desktop when no program is running. In Windows Vista, we can change wallpaper with a picture provided by Windows or with your own picture. Wallpaper can be a picture and also can be just a color.

Change wallpaper:

1. On empty area on desktop background, right-click then click Personalize.



2. On Personalization window, click Desktop Background text.



3. After Desktop Background window appears, click a picture that you wish as wallpaper. Once you click a picture from the list, your wallpaper change automatically. But it is not permanent, you have to click OK button to make the change permanent. Lets take a look this picture:



Explanation:
Point 1 : List of location where the wallpaper pictures are stored. Choose one of them to see the pictures inside it.
Point 2 : If you want to use a picture that is not listed, but it is located in other folder, then click this button and find your picture file.
Point 3 : The list of available pictures which you can choose as wallpaper.
Point 4 : The three ways to position the picture on the screen. The left choice means the wallpaper picture is stretched to fit the screen. The center one means wallpaper picture appears at its actual size and is repeated to fill the screen (tiled) if its size is smaller than screen size. And the right choice means wallpaper picture appears as its actual size on the center of the screen.
Point 5 : Click OK button to apply the change you make. Or click Cancel button to annul the change.

4. Next, your wallpaper changes as you want.
