Changing Screen Resolution on Windows Vista

Screen resolution is a setting to determine how much information can be displayed on the computer screen. It is measured horizontally and vertically using pixel unit. At low resolution like 640 x 480, fewer items fit on the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. On the other hand, at high resolution like 1600 x 1200, more items fit on the screen and they appear sharper but smaller.

Change screen resolution:

1. Right-click on empty area on desktop background, then click Personalize.

2. On Personalization window, click Display Settings text.

3. On Display Settings window, move the slider to change the screen resolution. Please take a look the picture below:

Explanations:
Point 1 : Move the slider to right or left in order to raise or lower the screen resolution.
Point 2 : Screen resolution text. 1280 by 800 pixels means 1280 pixels horizontally and 800 pixels vertically.

4. Click OK button to get the result. Or click Cancel button to annul the changes.
