Vista Tips - Enable or Disable List of Recently Opened Files and Programs on Start menu

When you click the Start menu, you'll see the list of recently opened programs, and if you then click Recent Items, you'll get list of recently opened files. If you want to disable/enable these features, you can do that from the Taskbar and Start menu Properties dialog box.



To enable or disable those features:

- Open the Taskbar and Start menu Properties dialog box. (Right-click the Taskbar, and then click Properties).

- Click the Start Menu tab.

- In the Privacy section, select or clear the Store and display a list of recently opened files check box to enable or disable the Recent Items on Start menu. And if you want to enable or disable the recent opened programs on Start menu, select or clear the Store and display a list of recently opened programs check box.

- Click OK button.
