Using Large Icons on the Desktop

By default Windows XP uses desktop icons with size of 32 x 32 pixels. This is the normal size in XP. Besides that, Win XP also supports for larger icons with size of 48 x 48 pixels. This feature is very useful if you want to focus on helping your vision, or just for getting unique look.



To use large icons on desktop:

- Right-click a blank area on desktop background, and then click Properties.

- In the Display Properties dialog box, click the Appearance tab.

- Click the Effects button.

- In the Effects dialog box, select the Use large icons check box.

- Finish it by clicking OK button, and then clicking OK button again.

Now, take a look on your desktop icons. They should have been displayed with larger size now.
